Thorpe has an extensive history installing various acid brick and tile systems, with and without underlying corrosion membranes. Typical materials include Type I and Type II fireclay brick, red shale acid brick, carbon brick, and tiles. These materials are used in conjunction with their appropriate chemical resistant mortars, normally over a corrosion resistant membrane. These systems are utilized in many different industries including Power, Chemical Processing, Pulp and Paper, Metals and Mining, Petroleum, etc.
