YOUR TRUSTED PARTNER, BUILT TO LAST

Clayburn Refractory Services began in Abbotsford, British Columbia, producing clay pipes for commercial services. Since then, we’ve shifted away from manufacturing into a full-service supply and install refractory contractor. We service an expansive portfolio of customers across industries throughout North America.

We’re a family business. Clayburn began as an employee-owned small business and has since been acquired by Thorpe out of Houston, a company that shares our same values. We’re stronger together than individually, with diversified skills and deep engineering and designed capabilities. With more than 100 years of history in the business, we’ve worked in many facilities across our service areas. That longevity can’t be overstated—you don’t last this long without a strong record of quality, safety and success.

THE CLAYBURN DIFFERENCE

We stand apart from our competitors because of our core values and commitment to our customers. Here’s what you can expect when you work with Clayburn:

Reliability

Our team is dependable and responsive. No matter what you need or when you need it, Clayburn will be there. Consistency is our top priority, and our history proves it.

Honesty

We’re known to be a trustworthy partner within our industry. Everything we do is done with integrity. Your success is our goal, and we won’t cut corners to get there.

Objectivity

Value-focused partnership with our customers drives every job we do. We listen to your needs and strategically align with you on all levels.

Energy

Even though we’ve been at this for more than 100 years, our enthusiasm for the job never falters. Our dynamic team thrives in the fast-paced environment our industry demands.

Innovation

We are forward thinkers who look at every job we do with a fresh lens. There’s no such thing as “how we’ve always done things.” We want to react to the changing environment and be proactive in how we offer solutions to our customers.

Experience

Since Clayburn first began, we’ve learned by doing. Our history in the industry gives us an edge, and a unique ability to predict what our customers will need and provide a quick and reliable solution.

Your greatest challenges are no match for our strengths. We can execute large-scale, overlapping projects with efficiency while never sacrificing quality. No matter how complex your project is, our resources and experience work hand-in-hand with Clayburn’s manpower to get the job done. From planning to execution to close out, Clayburn will be by your side.

OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY

Safety is paramount to success. With extended periods without a lost time safety incident in the United States and a significant duration in Canada, our commitment to safety is clearly demonstrated. This type of achievement is no small feat—a substantial period without lost time incidents in union refractory on both sides of the border.
