Safety Policy Statement

Thorpe is aware of the constant changes in OSHA, MSHA and client standards. Therefore our Safety Team members routinely attend training classes to provide them with the knowledge to keep our employees safe and Thorpe’s Safety Policies updated and in compliance with the various requirements. Our Safety Team member’s qualifications range from a Master Degree in Occupational Safety and Health to Construction Site Safety Tech (CSST) training. Our team members attend numerous safety training and Safety Summits for continuous education in various disciplines of the safety profession. Thorpe is also active in various safety organizations such as American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Local Safety Council safety teams, and keep a steady relationship with all of its clients Safety professionals. Thorpe believes this will help us to reach our goal of flawless execution within all departments of the company. Safety Team members are also trained in the following:

  • HAZWOPER Instructors
  • First/Aid CPR Instructors
  • Scaffold Competent Person Instructors
  • OSHA 10, 30, 511, 510, 501, and 500
  • MSHA Instructors
  • Forklift Training Instructors
  • Overhead Crane Instructors
  • Basic Rigging Instructors
  • Aerial Lift Instructors

OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL THORPE PERSONNEL BY PROVIDING QUALITY SAFETY PERSONNEL TO PLAN, OBSERVE, INTERVENE, AND MITIGATE HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS IN THE WORKPLACE.
